Yes, we've featured some truly bizarre instruments here in Bizarre Guitar, and we've been known to make fun of them, usually deservedly so. Not this one. It's an absolutely spectacular and playable work of art. 

Ladies and gentlemen... The Mermaid guitar/sculpture by luthier and guitarist Andy Manson. There are so many incredible details it's hard to know where to begin. There's a homonculus (love that word!) peeping out where the neck joins the body. A seahorse held in the mermaid's hand makes up the tailpiece. The hair, the exquisitely detailed tail. It goes on and on.
